Mandy Lawson '25 Recruiting Profile

  Hi, my name is Mandy Lawson, and I am currently a junior at St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon Missouri. I have played on varsity teams all three years of high school in the libero position. This year I played Libero and achieved a milestone of 1000 digs for my high school career. This year I achieved 1st Team All District  and 1st Team All Conference Libero.  My high school team also finished 2nd in our state district. Last season for my sophomore year I earned the All-Conference Libero, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All District and All Conference Newcomer of the Year Awards.  I was also named to the AVCA Volleyball Phenom List for the last two years.  Last season we also finished 4th in the Missouri state tournament in class 5.

  Currently in club, I play for Rockwood Thunder 17 Elite, and I am a Libero / Defensive Specialist. I have played club volleyball since I was 9 years old on the top-level team each year. For 15's club season my team won the Gold medal in the USAV G15 National Division and for my 14's season we won the Silver medal in the USAV G14 National Division. My position on these teams was Libero for both club seasons of 14's and 15's. I have qualified for USAV Nationals each year since I began playing club volleyball.

  My ultimate goal for volleyball is to play at a highly competitive collegiate program. I believe hard work and commitment to excellence are both keys to being a successful athlete. I pride myself in being leader on all of my teams and have a strong commitment to success. I am continually working to improve my skills of the game through training and getting reps on the ball.
