At 11 years old volleyball became my absolute passion. Last season I joined Big Sky Volleyball Club in Bozeman, Montana. Commuting 2 hours to practice has been completely worthwhile and I’m extremely grateful to my coaches for the opportunity and exposure to high level volleyball at the USAV Open divisions. I am a hard working athlete who also strives to excel academically and maintain good standards and relationships with family, coaches and peers. My strengths on and off the court are my composure, positive energy, and heavy arm.
Prior to my junior year of high school season, I began experiencing pain in my patellar tendons. This has been a setback making weight training and vertical work difficult. I played through the pain this season but know that I need to get back to 100% in order to play at a college level. This summer I will be taking the time to properly heal through a minor surgery and injections; full recovery will be about a 6 month process. I am willing to put in the work and persevere and I know I’m going to come back even stronger than before. I’m excited to see what I’m capable of once I add some inches to my strong swing.
This has been untimely in the recruiting process but I remain hopeful that a coach will see my potential and be willing to wait just a little extra to see what I can offer their team and program. I believe that I will be a valuable asset to a college and volleyball program and can’t wait to get started! I have arranged my schedule to graduate high school early and have the option to begin training in February 2025.
