I played volleyball for the first time 2 1/2 years ago when I tried out for my freshman high school team. I fell in love with the game; the excitement, the challenge, the teamwork, and the growth I have achieved. I have grown so much as a volleyball player and as a person in the last year and a half. I would love to continue this journey at the collegiate level.
I am always striving to improve my game. I am very coachable and always looking for advice and coaching on how I can improve my game and my mentality on and off the court. I am a happy, positive person. My teammates and my coaches tell me that I am a very valuable asset to the team.
I hustle for the ball, trying to help my team in whatever way I can. I am always encouraging my teammates on and off the court. Keeping a positive attitude while also learning from our mistakes is paramount for growth and improvement as a team and player. I was the captain of my high school team last year, I take team spirit and my teammates very seriously. I was also voted MVP for the team last year and most improved player freshman year.
I am now on the Dig This 17 Black national team in Las Vegas, NV. I am a middle blocker but I am also interested in getting experience as an outside or in any other positions. I am looking to learn, grow, and help my team however I can.
I also work hard and try to do my best with my schoolwork. I am maintaining a GPA of 3.85, on track to keep that GPA or higher by the end of the year. I am looking to get into the medical field, following my mom's footsteps into nursing.
I am looking for a school that challenges me both on the court and in the classroom. I am flexible and open to options and change.
