Hi! I'm Reese and I'm 16!
I want to be a helpful and inspiring teammate. Keeping bonds with people are super important to me because friendship and commitment are what we need in a team. There is no team without communication and trust, and I believe without those things, the team will fall apart.
I am a firm believer in knowing where you come from. That being said, I am ingrained in in my Scots-Irish heritage. I've been an active competitor in Irish step dancing for the past 8 years. Because of Irish-Step dancing, I have learned to communicate with others and to see things from other points of view. I respect my culture and I love to see other people learn about new cultures and heritage.
I began playing volleyball about five years ago. Ever since then, I have dedicated a lot of my time to it. I focus on my teammates and how I can become a better player and teammate. I love watching my teammates improve and feel like they can do anything if they put their minds to it. I believe that having a teammates' trust and becoming friends is something you need to have because without it your team isn't as strong, so keeping friendships with my teammates is something I strive to always have.
I'm really protective of my team mates, coaches, and people supporting us. I try to brighten up their day, giving them laughs and encouraging them when they feel down. My friends and family are huge impacts for my sports careers, they always help me out even when it's hard but they always have a way to bring me happiness, so my job as a team mate and friend is to do the same, helping them through their hard times and encouraging them to move forward.
This year I'm focused on raising my chances of playing for a college team. I want to study radiology or fire science, they both seem like a great career. I'm open to studying new things though, I'm only a sophomore in high school so I have time to adjust what I want to do with my life.
