Ashley Eason '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashley Eason. I am a 5'4", 115 lb. Libero. I am currently a Senior at Tonopah High School and set to graduate in June 2013.  

This is my 4th year as a high school varsity player and a 2nd year starter.  My Freshman year I was the second highest server on the team and was invited to the NCSA/AVCA Winter and Spring Combines. My sophomore year I had the 3rd highest serving percentage.  This same year I made a 16 Power League squad for Silver State Volleyball Club in Carson City, NV, and was elected Team Captain.  For my Junior year I was the top team passer, was named to 2nd team All-Conference, and made the 17 Black Team (the top team) for Silver State Volleyball.

 I feel my committment to volleyball has really shown during my time competing in club ball.  Not only do I travel approximately 500 miles round trip just to attend practices, not including the additional travel to the competitions, I do this while being a member of Varsity Basketball and Track teams. None of this bothers me though because I commit myself 150 percent in everything I do. In fact, I was recenlty selected as a first round pick to the 2012 Australian Down Under Bowl in Track & Field and it was my first year to ever compete in this sport.  I think this further proves my determination. I am self motivated, respectful on and off the court, agressive on the court and have an up beat personality. Whether I am on the court or on the bench I encourage my team to do their best.  Academically, I am an honor student and I have a GPA of 3.7. As of the end of my Juniortyear I am ranked number 15 in my class.

As to where I want to go to school, I am looking for the opportunity to receive a great education while I pursue my nursing degree and to play great volleyball. I am open to any and every opportunity that is presented to me. I feel that my attitude and personality, my willingness to work hard and to accept new challenges would make me a great addition to any team and school.
