Genevieve May - C...Personal Statement
I have been playing Volleyball the past three years and have fell in love with the Sport. I am highly competitive and work very hard everyday at getting better at Volleyball. I think that I am a great teammate and I want what is best for the team. I cheer my teammates on and take pride in picking them up when things do not always go well.
I look forward to playing varsity my upcoming Junior year and continuing to play for one of the local clubs in South Jersey so I can keep getting better and better to prepare for Volleyball at the next level after I graduate in 2021. I am able to multi-task by working part-time, playing volleyball and doing well in my schoolwork and having a 3.5 GPA.
I feel that I will keep learning and can compete at the college level in a highly effective manner and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

- This is a great opportunity to work with and ask questions of not only my staff but the coaches at the NCAA Division I volleyball programs at the U.S. Naval Academy, Morgan State University, East Carolina University, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Tennessee State University.

- Invite Only event. Five H.S. Juniors and 1 JUCO Transfer. 10:30AM Meet at GCU Wellness Center Lobby 10:30-11:30 Campus Tour (Academic Buildings, Dorm Room, Athletic Facilities, etc.) 11:30-12:15 Lunch in Cafeteria (with a few GCU athletes that do not have class) 12:30-1:15 General Recruitment Talk 1:45-3:45 Tryout- Wellness Center Arena (with other recruits and some GCU VB Athletes) 3:45-5:30 Individual Athlete Meetings with Coach ~Athletes are dismissed once they have completed their individual meeting.

- Elite Overnight Camp - University of Penn Volleyball Camp

- This is an unmatched elite level camp for players serious about taking their game to the NEXT level. Players will receive high-level instruction and feedback in a positive and fun environment. Players will learn advanced technical skills and tactical concepts from certified, experienced coaches. Two of our most exciting concepts covered in camp are mental resiliency training, and our unique visual training systems. A campus tour will also be included as part of camp! Our camps are open to high school-aged student athletes.

- Junior Day Volleyball - Junior Day National Volleyball Prospect Showcase
- 7/26/19 to 7/28/19
- I am registered as a Right-side and Outside hitter. Players will be broken down into six teams that will represent the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Great Plains, and West Coast. Each team will consist of 4 OH/RS, 3 Middles, 2 Setters, and 3 Liberos/DS. All players will rotate through games with all receiving an equal amount of playing time to ensure a thorough game evaluation.

- JUNIOR DAY VOLLEYBALL NATIONAL PROSPECT SHOWCASE - Fairfax, VA @ George Mason University

- The Junior Day National Volleyball Showcase will be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, just a few miles outside of Washington, DC. George Mason is an NCAA Division I program. The 72 participants in the Junior Day National event will represent some of the best players across the country who attended a previous Junior Day regional event this summer or received an invite. Players will be given the opportunity to work with our on-court staff of college coaches to get valuable feedback on their skills from the college coaches in attendance
