I started playing volleyball in 6 grade as an outside hitter and the only 6 grader on my middle school team. 2 years later after covid I played once again in 8 grade as the captain and an outside. I later switched to a setter once I played at Essex Volleyball Club for my 14u season as the starting setter. For my high school season I started JV as a right side and setter playing a 6-2. I was pulled up to varsity for a few regular season games and for states and counties, getting a chance to play in states; making myself the only freshman on varsity. I played at Essex once again on 15 black which is the advanced team. At Essex I was the captain and starting setter. I work everyday to get better at volleyball as well as improving in school and making sure I am at the best level I know I can be at. Volleyball isn’t just a game to me and I have found a home in the sport I love and live for. I also work very well with coaches and am able to apply all the feedback to give me. I aspire to play at the D1 level and know that I would be a great team player/ leader. I am encouraging with my team mates and act as a leader on and off the court while pushing myself beyond my current skills. I look forward to improving my skills through hard work, dedication and the commitment and love to the sport.
