My name is Olivia Colling. I am currently a Senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. I am in my 10th year of playing club at Jersey Juniors Volleyball Club, where I fell in love with the sport and grew as a player. I am a person who works not only hard on the volleyball court but also in the classroom where I maintain a 5.04 weighted GPA (3.6 unweighted). I take challenging courses to push me to become stronger mentally. I am a well-balanced student who loves to participate in numerous clubs around my school and help out in my community.
I am currently a setter on Jersey Juniors 18U National team. I love to bring positivity and energy to the court, in both practices and games. My club team is part of the GEVA Open division, where we placed 2nd in our division in 2020, allowing us to receive a bid for the 2020 USA nationals. We placed third in the GEVA Open division in 2021. In 2022, my team traveled to Indianapolis to participate in the USA Volleyball Nationals, as well as traveling to Columbus Ohio for the U18 nationals in 2023.
I am looking forward to club season starting this winter and becoming a better volleyball player by being pushed by my teammates and coaches, at a high level of play.
I had a terrific freshman high school season. I started each game for the RVRHS varsity volleyball team. We played against tough opponents, which made our team better. Although the season, was shortened due to COVID-19, I grew as a player and am eager to keep growing. In my sophomore year, we had a fantastic season. We pushed one another during practice to make the team, as a whole better. We played the top teams and the state and hung in there with them. We made it to the quarterfinals of NJSIAA group IV tournament. During my Junior season has come with great success. I was named Varisty Captain and named Olympic conference player of the week by nj.com, for week 1 of the season, as well as named to the all-conference team for the Olympic conference. During my senior year, I was named a captain for the team, as well as Olympic Conference Player of the Week by nj.com.
