I am a highly motivated scholar athlete. My successes in both the classroom and on the court are a result of hard work, a good attitude, and strong faith. I have always worked hard in the classroom. Math and Art classes have always been my favorite classes which makes sense considering for years my goal has been a career in architecture and design. Outside of school, volleyball takes up much of my time whether it is training or just playing for fun. My work both volunteer and paid jobs have helped me develop great life skills. Currently I am working as a hostess in a very busy restaurant and I have learned skills such as dealing with people and responsibilities. Even though I do not get paid to volunteer I get way more out of it than a paycheck could ever provide. In the summer I am a counselor at an all girls sleepaway camp, and this year I am very excited to be going on a mission trip to West Virginia. During the school year I mentor middle schoolers through Heros and Cool Kids, a club at my high school. Whenever they need an extra set of hands I also help out at New City Kids, an afterschool program in Paterson, New Jersey. I am planning to pursue higher education and hope to play volleyball at the collegiate level but I am very excited to see what else the future will bring. As of right now I am not set on going to school in one specific region. It would be ideal to be close enough to home where it would only be a few hours away by car, but far enough where I feel like I am “away” at college. I believe that I have the work ethic and athleticism necessary to succeed and I hope to find the right fit for my continued academic and volleyball career.
