No matter how many times or how hard I dive into the floor to get the volleyball -- I always get back up. I think about what inspires me to take that extra step to keep the ball in play, and it is to continue to play the game I love in college. Playing volleyball while in college has been a constant dream that I know can be a reality. I have learned so much from playing volleyball such as; teamwork, trust and communication. I am a very, shy reserved person, but when I step onto that court I become a totally different person.
I have played volleyball for seven years, and each year, I learn something new about the game that makes me an all around better player. I am a versatile player who has played all the positions on the volleyball court. I have a complete understanding of every role on the court. I understand how important and difficult each position is, and respect what my team mates bring to the game.
I maintain a 3.5 GPA and perform well in my honors classes. Being a student athlete does not allow for much free time, but it has taught me to balance school and playtime. When I am not on the court I am either reading, studying or hanging out with my friends and family. As an athlete, I was honorable mention all-division in the Big North Conference as well as the all-Passaic County (NJ). I was also nominated for the best junior volleyball players in New Jersey, and was ranked the top 25 players.
I am searching for the best mix of competitive volleyball and academic excellence. I intend to become a English major with the goal to become a copy writer or work for a PR firm. I love to be challenged both academically and on the court. I am eager to become a member of 2020 collegiate volleyball team member (as a DS or Librero). I am a very passionate, driven and will always dive on the floor to get the ball!
