I have played club volleyball on a National 1 team since I was eleven years old. Since then I have worked hard to get to where I am today and I continue working and improving immensely. This high school season, I earned the starting setter spot on the Cibola High School varsity volleyball team for the second straight year. My athleticism and knowledge of the game carries me as well as my aspirations and love for the game.
Volleyball has been my passion for five years. I stepped on the court when I was eleven years old and since then I have had intense drive and desire to pursue a career in the sport. I knew at that time that I wanted to strive to become a collegiate athlete. The sport has taught me many things and has helped me excel in school and life overall. I would like to honor my school, my family, my coaches, my team, and myself by becoming the best athlete and person I can be. I am a leader with a positive outlook. I also work to keep my teammates’ attitudes up and push them to work hard and play hard. Many of my coaches have inspired me and pushed me as I continue to grow and reach my full potential.
I believe that it is very important to work hard in the classroom. I strive to maintain the highest GPA possible and I understand that my academic achievements will guide me in life to become what I want to be. I am as proud of my accomplishments in the class room as I am of my accomplishments on the court. I also think that it is important to respect yourself and others. I believe that I am a good student with good morals and goals.
