About 5-6 years ago marked the start of my volleyball career. I started volleyball as an outside hitter and after that I became hooked to the sport. When I first started volleyball I was a gymnast at the time as well. Volleyball taught me the team work aspect that comes along with the sport and I have learned to utilize my best attributes to contribute as a team player. Volleyball has not only made me a better player and become better at on court skills, but has also made me grow as a person and broaden my life skills. I became an outgoing, outspoken and lively person since starting volleyball. I come from a really large family, being the youngest of 8 siblings so I have learned to adapt to things thrown at me.I believe that this has helped me in volleyball in being easily coachable and having the ability to adapt to difficult situations.
So far in both freshman and sophomore year I have been a varsity starter. This year I led my team with the most hitting attempts, most kills, and most aces. Freshman year I made the 2020-2021 All District Volleyball-1st Team. As a sophomore I made the 2021-2022 All-District Second Team and the 2021 5A, 3rd Metro Team. I have also been playing club volleyball for about 6 years. I started my first year on an 11 regional 1 team and since then have been on a national 1 team from 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16’s year. Not only do I play volleyball but I love other things like drawing, tennis, lifting, body surfing, and snowboarding. If I were to describe myself as a player I would say that I am a boost of energy on and off the court. I bring leadership along with versatility to a team.
