As a kid I knew I always wanted to play a sport in college but never knew in which sport I would do so. Once I started playing volleyball it started to become more clear to me over the years that this was the one. My love for the game didnt spark untill about my junior year of highschool. I didn't begin playing this sport until I was a freshmen as I had moved to a new school and wanted to try something new aside from my previous fall sport, football. The coach that was in charge my freshmen through my sophomore year was a challenge. He refused to teach me and help me grow in the sport, so I took matters into my own hands. I had to persevere because although I didnt know much I knew I wanted to be great, I knew I wanted to leave a mark. This experience helped me to grow as a person and an athlete as I had to learn to overcome and be a leader to myself which translates now into the many captain and leadership roles I hold currently and have held in the past.
My goals and aspirations when discussing myself playing at the collegiate level is being able to grow enough to reach the goal I have dreamt of since I was young, to recieve an athletic scholarship, then continue my love that I hold for the support at a higher level of competition. I hope to learn more and grow in all areas. I believe I am a good candidate for your team as I play well with others, currently fill the leader and captain role on my hishchool team, possess good work ethic, dedication, and drive. What makes me different from other recruits in character is that I have held many leadership roles thoughout my highschool career and have learned many things from several organizations about character such as dependability and work ethic. Athletically I am a well rounded athlete as I have played volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. Academically I have always kept good grades and have never been inelligable to play due to my academics.
