Jayla Martinez '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Jayla Martinez. I am a 17 year old student-athlete from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have a 4..6 GPA and have taken several honors classes and will continue on in AP and Honors Courses. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for the past eight years and it is a huge dream of mine to make playing after high school a reality. I hope to one day make it to the collegiate level for volleyball. I am a very hard worker and I will always go 100% on and off the court to achieve my goals. The reason I am a good candidate is because I am a very good teammate and I know how to lead my team not only in winning but also in improving in the game we all love. I am the type of teammate to be there for you on and off the court in whatever you need, because I believe that once you are on a team you become part of a family. I will push my teammates in training and in the classroom and ensure everyone is trying their best to improve not only in the game but in life as well. Volleyball has impacted my life so positively in the past eight years and I would love the opportunity to continue improving and working hard at a higher level.
