When I decided to try out for volleyball in 7th grade, I really wanted to find another sport that I was interested in and one that I loved playing. As I continued to play volleyball and play in games, I grew to love the sport very much and I decided to try out for a travel team and focus on just playing volleyball and improving my play. I was always excited for every tournament and I have grown to love the sport and have so much passion for it. I want to play at the collegiate level to further my volleyball career even more to keep playing the sport that I truly love. I love the aspect of playing as a team and meeting new people, but especially just the fact that it is the sport that I love to play.
As a student athlete, I am able to keep up with academics as well as devoting my free time to bettering myself as a volleyball player. I am able to balance academics and athletics extremely well and also keep up my social life. I am very devoted, hard working, and I never give up. I always push myself to be the best I can be and I am able to be just as good an athlete as I am a student.
By playing sports my whole life, I knew that I always wanted to go on and become a college athlete, I just never knew what sport I would like the most. As I got more experienced, I've realized that volleyball is the sport that I loved the most and it is the sport that I want to further my career in. Right now, my goal is to go to an academically challenging college and pursue my goal of playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I'm trying to advance my volleyball skills even more and I am willing and dedicated to doing so. I truly want to go on and play volleyball at the collegiate level where I can really improve and grow as a student and athlete.
