Savannah Whaley '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Savannah Whaley from Farmville, NC. I'm 5'10, 6 rotation OH/DS. I've been playing travel volleyball for 7 years at East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club. I have been a Varsity starter since my freshman year. My freshman year, they needed a middle, and I stepped up to play wherever the coach needed me. I was selected All Conference Player 2020 & 2021, MVP 2021, Conference Player of the Year 2022, All state 3rd team 2022, Athlete of the fall for my high school and conference player of the year 2022.  I am a versatile player on the court and can play anywhere that is needed.  During my travel season, my team went to AAU in Orlando, Florida and finished 3rd in the nation for 2019 & 2021. Also, I compete in Track & Field at my high school.  I've maintained a 4.3 GPA in high school, while playing school sports, and travel ball.  I try to focus hard on and off the court.  Having a good attitude is important to me and being a leader for my teammates.  I have played all positions, but my main one is outside hitter and defense specialist.  I feel the team is encouraged by my drive and passion to play hard!
