Madison Dagenhart '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play collegiate volleyball at a high quality institution and be an impact player for my team! As a 6'1 setter, I am a leader on the court with a high volleyball IQ. I make good decisions while running a fast tempo offense. I know how to adjust tempo and take risks that will ensure my team's success. I have great hands and am very consistent with location in setting. I know how to get the job done and make my hitters shine! I am very experienced in running a 5-1 offense but I am also a very effective hitter across the front row.  Also, I love to play defense and have a natural ability to read the ball very well. Personally, I have been recognized as a top setter with awards at Capitol Hill Classic (MVP and Best Setter) and recognized by Prep Volleyball on multiple occasions. I am a high school varsity 3 year All Conference player, 3 year All County player, 2 year MVP, and was selected and attended the A2 High Performance Invitational Team in 2015. However, I have a true setter's mentality- I am happiest when I have done my job well so that others succeed. 

Academically, I have 4.3 GPA while taking honors and AP classes in the AP Academy at Statesville High School. I am a dedicated student-athlete and know how to manage my time to be successful. I love to be challenged and thrive under pressure! I am extremely coachable and although I love setting, I will play whatever position is necessary to help my team succeed. I am very competitive, and have a superior work ethic! I definitely want to join a program where I can grow both athletically and academically. I know I can impact your program!
