Carmen Waye '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my names Carmen Waye. I am a 16 year old middle blocker for Citadel high schools varsity's team and for U17 Fury volleyball. The 2022 season was my freshman year of high school(in Canada that's Grade 10) and I was able to work my way into a starting position. I was also the starting middle for my club team. I made my 2021/22 u16 provincial team and was part of my provincials excelence program. I also am part of a Targeted Athlete Program or TAP. TAP is a program that focuses on your mental and physical health as well as nutritional help. This year I have also been invited to tryout for my Country's u19 team and National Excelence Program.

 Due to Covid 19 and my attention towards basketball throughout the years I have only been playing volleyball competitively for a year and a half. However my athleticism, competetive attitude and drive has made me want to learn and develop throughout this last year and I hope to continue to grow and become a better volleyball player. Even though I have not been playing volleyball for long I am always looking to get better every time I step into a gym.
