Hi, my name is Laura Jane Proffitt and I am a 5’9 outside hitter who plays all the way around. I am currently a Senior at Saint Ursula Academy. During my Freshman and Sophomore year I was privileged to be named a captain of my team. For my 2014 varsity season I am a starting outside hitter along with being a captain. I have made 2nd team for the GGCL (Girls Greater Catholic League) and have the 2nd overall kills record for the GGCL. For the 2014 season I received the coaches award from the Saint Ursula coaches I just recently got a chance to play as libero on my club team when our main libero was hurt for a tournament. In addition to my athletic achievements, I have been able to maintain a 3.2 GPA. Looking towards my future, I would like to attend a college where I would be able to play on a D1/D2 level. I want to be a part of a team where I can make an impact not only as a player, but also as a leader on and off the court. I feel I have many qualities to be able to reach these goals from my experience as a captain for my team and my many hours of community service through my school.
Statistic | 2014 Varsity Team |
