Hi coaches! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile as I am sure you have many prospects to choose from, and I appreciate the opportunity to be considered.
I have been an athlete for most of my life and have loved volleyball in every aspect from a very young age. Besides volleyball, I also play softball for my high school, and on a travel team in the summer. I played basketball for six years, but I decided to not play this year to focus on things that are more important to me. Being a multi-sport athlete for a large portion of my life has taught me time management, how to take care of my body and mind, and the importance of working hard and being a great teammate. Outside of sports, I am also involved in the FFA organization, and I am an officer for my school's chapter. This role has brought me countless opportunities to grow in my leadership and confidence, which I believe I can also bring to the volleyball court. Additionally, I have been chosen to be a part of the Captains Athletic Leadership Council at my school.
I believe that my positive attitude, dedicated and hardworking mindset, and willingness to be coached and improve my game sets me apart from other players. I have been told that I am I quiet leader, as I shine in my ability to lead with my actions rather than words. In my opinion, sometimes those types of leaders are just as much needed as a leader with a loud presence.
Playing college volleyball has been a goal of mine for quite a while. Getting the opportunity to continue to do what I love for an extra four years would be a dream come true. I would love to be a part of a team where I can make an impact. As much as I love cheering on my teammates and encouraging them, being on the court and being able to make a direct impact is what I love most. My ideal college home would be somewhere closer to home (max of 4-hour drive) as I am very close to my family and they are an important part of my life. However, I am open to the size of the school as I am still researching that aspect. As of now, I am interested in studying either Sports Medicine or Sonography.
Thank you again for your time, and I cannot wait to learn more about your program!
