Hi, my name is Rosie Brinkman! I am 17 years old and have been playing volleyball for 5 years. After mainly playing softball when I was younger, I tried volleyball in 7th grade for my school, and fell in love. I have been greatly influenced by my home community. My Dad works for the YMCA and runs summer camps. At different times I have lived on site at camp and love spending as much time as possible over the summer at camp. These experiences have helped me grow into a natural leader and a great teammate. The core values that were embedded in me at camp translate onto the court. As a setter, I understand that just as important as my playing skills, is my ability to be the quarterback for my team. On or off the court, my mental game is a huge part of me playing at my best. I am always working hard to improve, to be better for my team. I'm in my 5th year playing club volleyball, second year playing at the national level. My goal is to continue my volleyball career into college, while earning a degree in business. I have worked very hard to be not only a great setter, but a well rounded player. I have played two school seasons as an opposite hitter. I have run a five one as the only setter for both my National club seasons. I am a fierce competitor, always doing everything I can to help my team win our matches. I value every chance I have to be coached, as I strive to be the best I can be, on and off the court.
