My dream is to play volleyball at the collegiate level.
I am the youngest of 4 siblings and the only girl. Growing up with 3 big brothers, (they are all 6'4''- so big is not just older), I have always attended tons of sports watching them and when I finally got old enough I was so excited to start competing. I tried all the sports and I fell in love with playing volleyball.
I have a toughness and determination from growing up helping on our family farm throwing hay and getting animals ready to show at the fair. I was always trying to prove I could be as great as my brothers. I am always up to work hard and want feedback on how I can be better. I am working at always becoming smarter on the court. I have been the captain for my club teams for the last 4 years. As a setter, I set the pace for the offense and need to keep everyone moving and working together with their heads up. I take that responsibility seriously as an honor that my coach selected me.
In academics, I maintain a 4.0 GPA for my freshman year taking accelerated classes. My parents have always told me that organizing and prioritizing will help me succeed. I feel that I have balanced playing varsity volleyball, varsity basketball and club volleyball successfully in my first year of highschool to keep my GPA at that level.
I hope you will take me into consideration and give me the opportunity to show me what I can do!
