Ella Meers '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal in college is to play volleyball at a d1, d2 or d3 school and study education while playing. I truly enjoy meeting people and forming relationships. When I am on a team, my teammates are my family. They are the people I have the strongest bonds with. There are no other friendships made like those made when on a team together. I always try to support my teammates and to build them up with positive feedback. 

I am a type 1 diabetic, which has mentally made me a stronger athelete and given me the strength to get through difficult situations. I have empathy and understanding towards others in difficult situations. This has given me the knowledge of my body and my health. It drives me to continue on a path where fitness, hard work, and perseverance will forever be a part of my life. On the volleyball court, I am able to find my "normal" and focus on what I love to do.
