Mazie Kauffman '26 Recruiting Profile

 I am Mazie Kauffman, and I am currently attending Boardman High school located in Youngstown, Ohio. I would just like to give a few simple things in my statement that will tell you a lot about me in a few sentences. I believe that in volleyball it is all about getting yourself back to where you are. Volleyball, for me, is messing up than locking right back in because I believe that every point matters. I believe people make mistakes, but it’s how you go about it. I go to volleyball thinking I am going to help my team in every way possible. Not only that, but I believe that energy is most important because it is something YOU can control. I might not be the best hitter, setter, or passer, but I can do everything very well. I have been told by many refs that I am a great leader, person, and all around team player. Likewise, I would like to think of myself as confident and never cocky. Furthermore, I can play anything you want me to or see is fit. I have played middle through middle school and my freshman year and started for the JV and varsity team as a middle. Which starting my 2023-2024 season, I will be a varsity right side,  In the club season, I recently switched to outside and opposite and have fallen in love with it. I can still play middle  just as well, and I always try to bring energy on the court from wherever I am. I am very versatile and have been told I am very coachable.
