Greetings,
My name is Kiley Baker and I'm currently a sophomore at Yukon High School in Yukon, Oklahoma. I developed a desire and passion to play volleyball in the sixth grade. Up until that point I had only played recreational and competitive soccer. I have since spent every available opportunity studying and training to become a better volleyball player each day. I was raised to believe and understand that there is no such thing as luck in life. What most people perceive as luck, I know is where my preparation meets opportunity. I've always had the willingness to work hard to be great in all aspects of life. I understand that failing is a vital part of success. I continue to put in work daily to improve as an individual player and teammate. After high school my desire is to continue both my volleyball and academic endeavors by attending college. My academic future is very important to me and it's exciting gaining knowledge each year. I'm undecided on a field of study as of right now, but have strong interests in Criminal Law, Contract Law, and Psychology. I would like to close by sharing a few of my favorite quotes:
"If you don't fail, you're not even trying. To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."
-Denzel Washington
"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful!"
-Eric Thomas
