Janae McKay - Mid...Personal Statement
My name is Janae McKay and I am part of the class of 2021 at St. Edmund Campion Catholic High School in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
I currently play Middle Blocker/Hitter for the Pakmen 18U VBC. I am a very agile, athletic player with a 10’ spike touch and a high volleyball aptitude. Over the past year with my club I was a starting MB/MH for our club, as we won the 16U Ontario Premier Tier 1 Division 1 Championship and also the 16U National Premier Tier 1 Division 1 Silver Medal.
Over my High School tenure I have consistently maintained over a 3.4 GPA, earning Honor Roll distinctions every year, while balancing a busy high school and club volleyball schedule. As such I have learned how to focus, prioritize and balance my academic, sport and social activities which is very essential in being a student athlete. Additionally, I am also very artistic, I enjoy painting and graphic art activities as well as reading fictional literature during my spare time.
