My name is Alexia Cornea and I am an Outside Hitter in the class of 2026. I am from Oakville, Ontario and I'm a sophomore at Assumption Catholic Secondary School. The majority of my classes are AP and I currently have a 4.44 weighted GPA. I have just finished my 5th year of playing volleyball. A few of my achievements: I have been a part of Team Ontario’s 16U (2023) Red Raptors, Team Canada’s 17U team for the NORCECA World Qualifiers Championship (2023), the All-Canadian Games 16U match-up (2024), and in the summer I will be training with Team Canada for the Canada Cup and for the World Championships in Peru. Throughout my childhood, I have participated in many sports, developing an athletic personality, but despite all the sports I have done, volleyball is the only one that has stuck. For me, the essence of the game lies in team relationships. I have a deep sense of concern and respect for my teammates and consider them a second family. I strive to lead by example and provide consistent support. For instance, I always try to be the loudest on the court, high-fiving others, and leading by example. Without solid team relationships, the court would be filled with disjointed individuals
