My name is Holly Clarke. I'm a 5'4" starting libero at both my travel club Lakeside Volleyball Club U18 in Oakville Ontario and my senior high school, L.B. Pearson High School in Burlington Ontario. Last year for my travel club I was the starting libero for the Lakeside Volleyball Club, and as a junior in high school, I was our team's starting libero on the senior team.
Even when times are tough I will always try my hardest to turn the spirits of my teammates to the optimistic. My enthusiasm and dedication ensures that I am always early to arrive for practices and games to set up, prepare and help with whatever needs to be done. I am highly coachable and will spend whatever time and effort it takes to most improve my team and personal goals.
Volleyball is my passion and along with my personal court experience I have helped coach my previous public school girls volleyball team. I have also helped to coach a junior girls program named Volley girls in Burlington Ontario. I am also an avid beach volleyball player and I have had success at the provincial level of the OVA (Ontario Volleyball Association). I have participated in a number of high level training programs specializing in defensive play.
Ideally, I would like to play at the highest level possible. I would like to attend a college/university where I could consider a future in Health or Social Sciences. I would like a college/university that would push me academically and athletically. My athletic goals in college/university are to be the biggest impact on a team I can be, whether that be in the heart of the action, cheering my teammates on, giving all I have to give and never letting the ball hit the floor!
