My name is Eileen Tang and I am an outside hitter for the class of 2020. In addition to being an outside hitter for my 18u high performance club team, I am a starting outside hitter for my high school varsity team. My high school varsity team finished the season undefeated in our conference and has competed at OFSAA (regionals) for the past three consecutive years I have been on the team. My club team was very successful in the 2018-19 season, winning gold at the 16U OVA Provincial Championships as well as silver in the 17U OVA Provincial Championships. We finished our 2017-18 season ranked 9th in Ontario for 16U and 26th in Ontario playing up in 17U.
I have a strong work ethic and my many years of commitment to volleyball, basketball, and football have taught me how to properly balance the demands of a competitive team with the high academic standards that I have set for myself. I have been captain for many club teams and this important leadership position has taught me how to continuously lead by example while also maintaining strong relationships with my teammates and my coaches. I understand the importance of dedication in this sport and I strive to continuously play at my highest level both in tournaments and practices. Throughout the summer months, I play beach volleyball to improve my strength and endurance, as well as to refine my indoor skills.
I have aspired to play volleyball at the collegiate level not only further my education but to work alongside girls who share the same passion for volleyball as me.
