Charlize Rossi '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Charlize Rossi, class of 2022. I am a 5’11 middle hitter for the 18u Niagara Rapids Elite team. I play for my school team as a middle hitter as well. I am a dedicated player and I am always eager to be on the court. I am hardworking in games and at practice. I am always committed to improving my skills and I greatly appreciate advice given to help me to grow as a player. I enjoy cheering my team on either on the court or on the bench. I have been playing club volleyball since 15u and I have done volleyball skills training previously. For my 2019-2020 season, I led my team in blocks and I was awarded the OVA Award of Excellence by my coaches. I have grown tremendously since starting volleyball and I am optimistic that I can succeed as I continue to play. This year, I am team captain for both my club team and school team.

Academically, I portray the same work ethic as I do when playing volleyball. I have a 4.0 GPA and I have made honour roll in grade nine and grade ten with the goal of making it in twelve as well. All of my courses have been based off of academic and university curriculum. As for my future, I am interested in business and law. I believe my skills I have developed so far in my academic and athletic life can help me reach my goals.

Aside from athletics and academics, I have many characteristics that make me unique. I have also volunteered for multiple organizations. Some include Equine Ability Therapeutic Riding, Letters and Smiles, and my school’s pilgrimage. For my grade 12 year, I am tutoring grade 10 math.

As I continue to work hard and learn new techniques, I strongly believe I can be a great addition to a collegiate volleyball team.
