I have played volleyball since I was 12 years old and now that I am 16 I can't image life without it. Volleyball is who I am and I continuing my game into University has been a dream for me for years. I don't lose sight of the fact my education is so important, it will be the key to my future but volleyball just has to be part of that future for me as well. I have big dreams and I am the first to say that I am not considered a big person for this sport but I have had some great success playing volleyball in Canada. My results come from a very strong work ethic believing that one must practice how you play and every time I take the court I am focused and ready to give my all. I’m not 6 feet tall, but I work hard on and off the court so I can play like I’m 6 feet tall and when you come to see me play you will see that in my game. I have the highest expectations for myself and with that comes a very strong work ethic. My strong athleticism allows me to be a dynamic player with a very competitive approach to my game. I train very hard on and off the court to bring the most to my team and my game.
As a student, I am very meticulous and committed to my education. I was identified as a gifted learner, which for me means that I learn at a faster rate than most students. I currently have a 3.89 GPA and have not yet taken my SAT’s but plan to this year. My biggest academic strengths are my problem solving skills and my attention to detail. My future goal would be to continue my education and graduate as a Psychiatrist. I have a great interest in the medical field and even more so in mental illness. I have a strong desire to work with and help those struggling with mental illness.
