I am a 5"11 outside hitter from Portland, OR who has experience on the right and in the middle hitting positions. I will graduate in the class of 2018 from Valley Catholic High School. I was a 1st team All State selection this year. I have a 3.73 GPA and I am looking for a school with a good balance between athletics and academics.
I would like to study sports psychology and sports medicine. As a competitive athlete, I have realized that to play at a top level for a long period of time, one has to be mentally tough and prepared. I find it interesting how often I see other players struggling to deal with pressure and I have been trying to understand how to help my teammates. In addition, I have been learning about my mental tendencies and how to improve them. I think a career in sports psychology will allow me to continue to be involved in sports even after my collegiate volleyball career. I am particularly interested in schools on the East and West Coast.
