Winning the Oregon State Volleyball Championship my junior year was the highlight of my high school athletic career. I earned "Most Improved" that year. I have known the importance of improvement because of my experience in school and academics also. I have needed to work extra hard in school and received extra support with an IEP (Individual Education Plan) since 4th grade. Last year, as a junior, I exited off of my IEP because of my academic improvement. I received a 3.7 the first semester of my junior year after struggling the first two years of high school. I am a hard worker and have learned that staying positive and expecting growth from myself even under challenging situations both athletically and academically is critical. I am fortunate to be a team leader this year. I know I have the work ethic and character to compete for a college team and be a strong addition to your team.
