I love volleyball. I have been playing from a very young age and have enjoyed every team I have been on. I attend Bend Senior High School in Bend Oregon. I was put on the JV team for half the season, but began swinging varsity shortly after. It was a great experience and I feel like I improved immensely playing on varsity and experiencing the state games. My high school team just recently won the 5A championships for the first time in almost 110 years.
I have been playing club volleyball since 4th grade. I play for Oregon Volleyball Academy (OVA). My first year I played on a local team, but the following year I was asked to join the national teams. From then on I continued playing on the travel teams. I have played at the Colorado Crossroads tournament 3 times, and the Far Westerns tournament twice. I have played for Daisey Parks (12's National, 1 year), Turner Waskom (14's National, 2 years) and Shawn Paulino (16's national 1 year).
For the past 5 years I have played as a middle blocker, but this past year I transferred to outside. I did so because I knew I didn't have much of chance of being a middle due to my height. I am tall, but not tall enough to be a middle blocker. I feel like I will be able to go farther as an outside hitter in my volleyball career. My coaches have still used me as a middle in emergency situations.
