I am currently a junior at Damascus Christian High School, my past three years I have pIayed middle front and back on my high school varsity team. I have had the opportunity to learn any position on the court, which I am tremendously thankful for. In club, I switch between any of the front row positions and have even been in the rotation as a back row player. I have played four seasons with Adidas NW Jrs club, but this year I will be transferring to Aspire NW 17-1 due to COVID issues. As I begin playing with this new competitive team I will most likely find myself being an opposite hitter and/or middle blocker, which is also where I see myself playing at a collegiate level. Serving as a captain on my past two club teams, as well as on my high school team, I have learned how to direct each position on the court to create a winning team. I am highly vocal yet cool-headed; leading on the court is a personal strength. During this past season, I realized how much other players feed off the captain’s attitude and intensity, which is crucial to maintaining the team’s positivity and hard work. Being a multi-sport athlete with basketball and track, as well as involvement with student body leadership, I have learned to manage my time well in order to complete my school work and be successful on the court. Academically, I am seeking to maintain straight A's and raise my GPA from a 3.8 to 3.9. My goals this year are to grow as an athlete, as a student, and to compete in volleyball at the collegiate level.
