Jessie Matthews '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jessie Matthews, and I'm a Senior at Sam Barlow High School in Gresham, Oregon, where I've had the privilege of starting on the Varsity Volleyball team all four years as a Middle Blocker.  Additionally, I'm a multi-sport athlete, playing four years of Varsity Basketball and three years of Varsity Tennis.  I am very competitive on and off the court and committed to not only my success but the success of others around me.  I pride myself on being a supportive teammate and feel I'm very coachable as I'm always willing to learn ways to improve my skills.  I apply the same drive and dedication to academics, having maintained a 3.8 GPA while serving as a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, National Society of High School Scholars, and ASB Leadership Team.  Beyond extending my playing career as a Middle Blocker at the Collegiate level, I intend to earn a degree in the field of Business and Marketing.
