I, Nevaeh Hughes, have many reasons why I am a great candidate for your team. My main goal is to succeed in my academics, also succeed in my athletics. I strive to be the best in whatever I do, and I’ve definitely withheld my statement. I am a great leader on my volleyball team, and I won’t stop in college. What makes me different from other candidates is I have boosted my personality up since my freshman year and have become a much stronger, smarter, and powerful woman. I am outgoing, kind, independent, and one of the most determined people you’ll ever meet. Also how I stand out from other candidates is I don’t only play one sport. I play three sports and I am a drummer in my marching band. I play volleyball, basketball, and softball and I play the tenors(quads). My leaderships skills definitely showed in all of my athletics. I was JV captain for volleyball for 2 years, JV basketball captain for 3 years and Varsity for 1 year also, Varsity captain for 3 years for softball, and I was drum-line captain for 3 years and the main leader in my band (commanding office) for my senior year. Even though I take my sports very serious, my academics always come first. I have been in the top 10 in my class since my freshman year, and I am currently number 4 in my class with a 4.0 GPA. I’ve had nothing lower than a B on any of my report cards since elementary school. In conclusion of my personal statement, I am one of the best candidates for any school that comes my way and I cannot wait to play volleyball in college. Thank you!
