Scarlett Jago '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Scarlett Jago and I am a 5'8" libero and defensive specialist with the graduating year of 2023. I aspire to go to a college that pushes me academically and physically. I want to improve to become the best version of myself, and I truly believe that going to school to play volleyball and getting a good education will help me to achieve that goal. I am working very hard to get better at playing the guitar and writing my own songs. Hopefully, in the future, I might be able to play one of my own songs at a coffee shop or another gig if I keep working on my skills. I love reading books, specifically dystopian and fiction novels. I personally love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.  I am a good candidate for your team because I work to be the best at everything I do, even if it means reading as many books as possible, and that translates into volleyball practices and games. As a captain of my high school team, I am constantly trying to be a leader on the court and lifting up my teammates so that they are playing to the best of their abilities. I believe it is important to have good connections with everyone on and off the court, and that starts with making sure I have trust with everyone on my team and my future team at college.
