A good hitter with a good attitude is what every team needs, I am one of those.
Something that I have wanted to do for some time now is play competitive volleyball in college while earning a bachelor's degree. As of right now, I have not decided on what I want to study, but I have a few ideas. I do know that if volleyball is something that you are doing during school whether it be on a school team or club team, school and grades always come first.
As of right now, on my high school team I play either outside hitter or opposite depending on where we need someone to play. Every time I play volleyball either in a game or in practice I try to realize what my mistake was right away. If I miss a hit, serve or pass, I know that I could have done something different, so I try to change next time to make it in. I also know that in games when you are on the court actually playing, you are helping your team a great amount by gaining points. However, even when you are on the bench, you are still helping your team by keeping a positive attitude during the game even if you might be losing that match, by cheering them on. When I play volleyball that is what I always try to do, I love cheering on my teammates even when I'm not on the court.
I know that I have not played volleyball for as long as some of the other girls on my team, but volleyball is something that I love to do and I would love to keep playing it for many more years to come. In the couple of years that I have played volleyball, my parents have been my biggest supporters throughout the years. They have come to almost all of my games and cheered me on during all of them, even during the hard times when we were losing pretty bad. They have done so much and I am so thankful.
I love volleyball so much and it is not just because of the sport and playing it, but it is also because of the people that I have met and become friends with while I played. I love them all and I know that I would never be where I am without them.
