I have grown up in the volleyball gym. I’ve been around a lot of amazing volleyball and have been able to learn so much from the great players that my mom has coached over the years. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to experience the successes of the players I have grown up watching in the gym. I have been taught that being an outside hitter means that you have to play like a second libero on the court. I’m never satisfied with the level of play and pushing myself to improve. I believe strongly in commitment in and out of season. I pride myself on the work I do in the weight room year round to become a more physical player on the court.
I have also learned that good things come with time and hard work. You cannot achieve perfection overnight, so you have to be willing to put in time and effort to become what you want to be. I received exciting news recently when I was named All-State by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association in Class A. As a sophomore 2022 and a junior in 2023 I received second team KSAC, second team all District, and academic all-state. My freshmen year I was also a part of the 2021 team that won the state championship.
I consider myself to be coachable and driven. I always show my full attention and respect to all coaches and players. I believe I am a positive leader for my team and I served as a captain of my high school varsity team for the 2023 season. I like to lead by example. Being a multi-sport athlete has taught me time management skills, while balancing school, volleyball, and softball. My high expectations on the court have led to high standards for my academics.
My deep passion and determination for the sport of volleyball has also been influenced by my oldest sister. Watching her play and achieve her goals during her high school career to win a state championship and as a Division III player winning the Coast to Coast Conference Championship and being Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA two years in row has definitely inspired me. I have dreams of playing at the collegiate level too.
