Volleyball has influenced my life in so many ways. It has given me the confidence to believe that I can achieve great things by working as hard as I can to achieve them. My love for the game has led me to the decision that I want to play volleyball in college at a school that can help balance my athletic life as well as my academic one.
When I first started playing volleyball in eighth grade, I absolutely fell in love with the game. Everything about it fascinated me from the excitement of being on the court, to the positivity of the players, to the precision of the plays. Every time I step onto the court, I enjoy anticipating what could happen next, which is one of the best parts of volleyball - almost anything is possible.
I have learned that although it feels great to win, losing and falling flat on your face is an essential part of the game, at it is an important tool for getting better.
I am a starting middle blocker for Villa Maria Academy as well as Royal Legends Volleyball Club, and I know that I have what it takes to be an amazing collegiate athlete.
