Katelyn Shifflett '14 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball for 7 years and I have fallen completely in love with the sport. It wasn't until my freshman year I realized that i wanted to play at the collegiate level. 

I have played in various positions throughout my high school and club years. I am a natural born leader and try to help my teammates as much as I can. I am a strong player all around and aspire to be the best volleyball player I can be. 

During my freshman and sophomore years I did not focus on school as much as I should have and as a result, my GPA is not as high as I would like. I have been pushing myself in my final two years of high school to not only be the best volleyball player, but the best student i could be as well. 

I want to attend a college that will push me in the classroom and on the court. My high school volleyball coach has told me, "no matter how long you have been playing volleyball, you will never be done learning." My goals in life are to attend a great college, become an even greater volleyball player, graduate with a major in physical therapy, but most of all, make both my parents and God proud.
