My name is Veronica Morris and I am 16 years old. My graduation year is 2022. I am a 5’8 aggressive left handed setter, and I absolutely love this sport. I go to a one on one personal trainer named Barry Lovelace, along with running and working out at home weekly. My volleyball story is a little bit different than some of my fellow teammates. When I was in fifth grade, I fell in love with volleyball when I went to Mexico with my parents. I jumped in with adults and played on the beach every day! I knew from that moment on I wanted to play this sport. In seventh grade I tried out for my middle school team and got cut. I remember that feeling of defeat, but looking back that moment was the driving force behind my success. I worked outside of my house everyday until I could pass a ball, and serve it over the net. With immense support from my parents, I was able to squeeze onto a club team and come back my eighth grade year as the team captain. Since then, I’ve been double rostered since freshman year, and I have played on a club team each year. I am an extremely coachable athlete and I would be honored to be a part of your college team.
