Volleyball has been my passion since I started playing when I was 10 years old. What made volleyball appealing to me was simple: 6 players all working together to achieve a goal. Throughout my playing career, my teammates have become like part of my family. Spending countless hours in a court, practicing skills, doing drills and getting to know each other. Sometimes we just have to look at each other to know what we are thinking. This is something that I would definitely bring to my future college team. I will be the best teammate I can possibly be. For example, this year I played a different position that I am used to just because my coach and team needed me to do so. I practiced extra hard and accepted the challenge because it was the best I could do for my team. I am willing to sacrifice and do things outside my comfort zone for the benefit of my team.
Volleyball has taught me how to manage my time wisely. I am constantly planning ahead to complete my schoolwork on time. This is why I am specially proud of my GPA so far, because I have managed schoolwork and volleyball very well. I plan on doing so through high school and college as well.
I am exited to begin this journey to become a college student-athlete. This has been a goal of mine for quite some time. I am prepared to work extremely hard, both academically and in my sport. I am ready for the long hours ahead, both in the classroom and in the court. I will improve my game every single day and listen to my coaches to become the best player I can be. To my future college coach, in me you will get an extremely hard working and unselfish player who is a team player above all.
