Joselyn Mayer '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi I'm Joselyn Mayer, and I'm a Middle Blocker, Outside Hitter and Libero of 2021. I have been playing volleyball for over 5 years now and I can say without it I wouldn't be the same person.  Everytime I go into the court  it makes me want to be a better athlete and a better me, but also be the best for my team. I am willing to play in any position as I have been train for most of them. If a player gets hurt I can step in and help.

 I am searching for a college that offers me the high academic standard I want along with an incredible volleyball program that values the team as a whole and runs a program that strengthens all of us together to support and lift each other up through all aspects of the college experience.

I come from a smaller school where volleyball isn't the main sport that everyone loves and wants to play. I want to be apart of a team that feels the same way that I do about the sport. I want my team mates to care for one another and help out evenif they aren't on the court. My school Balfour is very good in academics so when club season rolls around I am very used to balancing school all that and sports at the same time as I care about my grades as I do volleyball . I love volleyball and could eat, and sleep volleyball if I could, but also know the importance of getting a college education and fulfilling my goal of becoming someone in the medical field. I want to improve on everything to my best abilities, but play like a champion, and study with focus and determination.
