My name is Ava Ledingham, I am from Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada. I am 5’9, 150 pounds. I am an outside hitter on the Summit White U18 team.
I am a very hard working and determined athlete. Since I was in grade 6 I have been working towards playing volleyball at a collegiate level. I would bring a positive energy to a team, I have always worked hard on and off the court and I am very supportive of my team mates. I have learnt independence, perseverance and determination through volleyball and many other sports such as wrestling and boxing. I enjoy pushing myself and putting myself out there to get to the next level of performance whether it be in athletics or academics. I have always been a good student and strive to be better and have good grades. I have been bettering myself and taking myself out of my comfort zone in all aspects of my life and I hope to continue doing so by learning and playing volleyball at a collegiate level. Through out my life, despite only being sixteen I have endured many diverse situations that have helped me to grow as a person. One of my strengths is my work ethic, I have a good work ethic whether it be in academics or athletics.
In grade 9 I was on the Honour Roll at Miller Comprehensive High School and in grade 10 I finished both semesters with a 90% average at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. I finished my first semester of grade 11 with a 91% average. During post secondary I plan to go into medicine.
In the near future I will be able to add film and highlights to my profile. As the season progresses, if we are granted the opportunity to play games I will include game footage as well.
