Hello Coaches! My name is Aveah Covell. I am 14 years old and I will be graduating high school in 2028. I am a dedicated athlete who's played three seasons of club volleyball and all through middle school. My goals on the court are to uplift, guide, listen, and learn as much as possible. Being a libero is passionate work! Something about me is that when I find something I love I push myself to be the best! I have always wanted to be the best at anything I do. Knowing that there is someone better than me pushing me to want to be better. Making mistakes and errors on the court is another thing that makes me want to keep playing this sport. In my head i’ve told myself that failing is the key to success! Sometimes I feel like I completely want to quit but there’s something in me that won’t let me and to me that’s the love for the sport. If I could tell anyone about love I would tell them that love is forever. I will forever love volleyball. Volleyball has been a motivation for me to keep going. I have goals set for my life and a big goal I have is to play college volleyball. So to reach that goal I am perusing my volleyball career. The reason why I started playing volleyball is because of my aunt. My aunt got a scholarship to UAH for volleyball. So volleyball has been in my life since day one. She showed me the love she had for the sport which motivated me to try to play. The second I could realize if I liked the sport or not I fell in love with it immediately. So I am forever grateful that she showed me the love she had for the sport! One of my best strengths on and off the court is motivating others and cheering! I’ve been through tuff times on the court and I think it’s best to always have someone you can go to for little time to get yourself together and help yourself reset! I like to tell my teammates about the “next ball mentality.” Other than volleyball I love to hanging out with friends and family, the sunsets, riding four wheelers, the feeling of summer, shopping, tubing, bonfires, and talking to people. I’m a really social person! I think if anyone asked about my personality I think people would say i’m nice and have lots of energy! Besides the point my desire is to play college volleyball! I would love to be on a college team who has a winning mindset, and is motivated to be the best!
