I would be a great choice for recruitment, first, because of my positive attitude. I am an encourager by nature. Secondly, I have trained for numerous years with the goal of being the most diverse player on either side of the court. I am able to play all positions on the court extremely well, which gives my coaches flexibility they would not otherwise have with other one-position players.
What makes me different from other recruits in character is that I care about the success of the overall team and each individual represented. I try my very best to communicate the importance of being selfless and I lead by example. Most volleyball players love hitting and I truly understand their sentiments. It's exhilarating to get the kill! However, I understand the importance of the first good pass, because without it, the sets won't create an opportunity for a great kill and that's what wins games. Academically, I strive to do my very best!
My plan is to major in business, which opens up my options related to which college I could attend. However, my ideal college environment would be one that has an amazingly positive and nurturing culture with a coach who cares about me as a person, first, and as an athlete second. My primary reason for my desire to play collegiate volleyball is so that I can continue to develop life skills related to character, life lessons, and drive that are transferrable on and off the court.
