I started for my high school varsity team as a sophomore. This experience opened my eyes on how much I needed to improve on my athletic capabilities to thrive in high school ball as well as club ball. I realized I needed to improve since my goal is to play college ball. I started to dedicate my time expanding my volleyball skills, learning my primary position better (middle), and also learning to play the pin positions. I began working out with a personal trainer to strengthen my body, so I could be more agile and stronger on the court. Learning the different positions and strengthening my body helped out my high school team when all 4 of our outsides where injured. I stepped up to the position of outside, middle and right side, where-ever my team needed me. My coach awarded me, "Most Versatile Player".
I also work very hard off the court. I do community volunteering through meals on wheels and various clubs at my school. I have a GPA 4.0 (weighted 4.5) at a top TN public high school. I'm looking for a great academic school where I can play volleyball. To a team willing to recruit me, I am confident that I bring hard work and dedication both on the court and off.
