I come from a family of athletes. My mother is an ex Level 10 gymnast and my father is an ex collegiate and professional baseball player. Sports have been a part of my world from the beginning. I have played and excelled in soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball. This year as a 7th grader, I was introduced to volleyball and fell in love. Following the Jr. High season my parents allowed me to join a select volleyball team. I went from being a late add-on of a pre-established team, to a 6 rotation outside hitter. Unfortunately Cross Court was cancelled due to Covid 19.
Being the only girl in a household with 3 brothers, I learned from an early age how to be tough and how to compete with the boys. My dad says that if I had tried out for the 7th grade football team, I would have been the starting quarterback! Back to volleyball – I am able to feel the defense and react with my high level of hand-eye coordination. My excellence doesn’t stop on the court. I also excel in the classroom. Having the highest GPA of my Jr. High class, I have big dreams of being the Valedictorian of my high school. I would like the opportunity to earn a college scholarship playing volleyball. – Touch 10 Feet!
